Military Memories

Our County For Our Country

The Wayne County Museum of History is continuing our research and commemoration of local military service members.

Many men from Wayne County enlisted in 1862 to the 111th NY Volunteer Regiment. A database of these men is being researched. A new monument (see True Valor) is being erected to honor their contributions at Gettysburg and a limited edition print (artwork title "A Hero's Burial) was created to share the poignancy of the tragic loss of innocent life.
