Wayne County Bicentennial Mural Dedication

Sun, Jun 29

First Baptist Church - Williamson

Rome was not built in a day, and neither was the painting of this 7-panel Mural of Wayne County History! The story took 200 years to "write" and 2 years to paint. Now, we are dedicating this mural to the people of Wayne County. RSVP by June 20.

About the event

Join Mural Artists & Local Historians for an Afternoon to Celebrate the completion of the Wayne County Bicentennial Mural. This event will honor the historians and artists who made it happen. We will also unveil the commemorative Mural book and share options for acquiring one. Bicentennial Volunteers be given information about your promised copies!

This 7-panel artwork is located on the South wall of the host, Thatcher Company, in Williamson (Rt. 104) and would not have been completed without the help of Altra Equipment (Ontario), who loaned us their scissor lift for 3 months!

Public viewing of the Mural is recommended from the Williamson McDonald's, directly across the street from this busy location on Rt. 104.

PLEASE NOTE: THATCHER REQUESTS THAT PEOPLE DO NOT VISIT THE MURAL ON THATCHER PROPERTY.
