About the event
Terror Behind Bars, located in the old Wayne County Jail and Sheriff’s Residence (now Museum of Wayne County History) at 21 Butternut Street in Lyons, takes place from 6-9 PM on October 28th and 29th. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and are available both at the door and online.
The walk-through haunt combines scare actors, dim and strobe lighting, fog machines, loud music/sounds, and more - turning the history museum into an unrecognizable nightmare. Guests will walk through the old cellblocks - still intact from their use between 1856-1960 - and two floors of the old Sheriff’s residence.
Please note that this haunt is not wheelchair accessible.
While the attraction is entirely indoors, attendees will be required to check in and wait outside before entering the haunt. Please plan and dress accordingly!
