In partnership with Wayne County Historical Society and in commemoration of America 250, the local Col. William Prescott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presents this lesser known but contemporary movie about early Revolutionary history.

About the event

Mary Silliman's War is the true story of a religious wife of a Connecticut attorney who tries to negotiate his release from pro-British, Loyalist kidnappers in 1779. Starring Nancy Palk, Richard Donat, Paul Borteski, Diane D’Aquila. (1994) 1 hr 33 min.

The local Wayne County Col. William Prescott Chapter of the DAR helps preserve the past and honors our patriots. There are many Revolutionary War veterans buried throughout the county. In 2017, the Col. William Prescott chapter celebrated 100 years. Any woman who can document her lineage from a participant in the Revolutionary War is eligible to join.
