Welcome Reception for the "True Valor at Gettysburg" monument dedication brings together collaborators, historians, researchers and enthusiasts for an evening of listening and learning that will set the stage for the following day's living history and dedication events. Sculpted by Gary Casteel of Gettysburg, "True Valor" depicts a scene of heroism and patriotic duty undertaken by four color bearers, our local men, who fought for a national and noble cause.
