About the event
FREE EVENT WITH RSVP. AGES 14 & UP.

Though Wayne County, NY, wasn't settled until after the Revolution, its early settlers were involved in the events taking place further east. Travel back in time, 250 years or more, to the coffeehouses of colonial America, where these venues became hotspots for intense discussions among colonists. Our event invites guests to engage in conversations with historical characters to explore the brewing conflicts of the era and discover the early popularity of tea, coffee, and hot cocoa. Adventurous guests can participate with scripted roles and costumes, while others can simply observe and share their opinions. Games, trivia, and local historical content will add flavor to the controversies, but everyone will be asked to "choose a side."
The March Event is Sponsored by Rose Historical Society & Rose Grange. Stay Tuned for more opportunities in your neighborhood.
Funds for these Wayne Co 250 events are provided by NYS 250 Commission and the NYS Dept of Education.
