Doris was a prominent Wayne County attorney. She graduated from Cornell Law School in 1923. After treatment for polio in 1924 and 1925, she opened her law office in Sodus in 1926, where she practiced for 62 years. A passionate historian, she authored the book “The Battle of Sodus Point” in 1985.
