| Museum Teams with Haunted History Ghost Walks, Inc. Take a walk on the dark side and into the mysterious past of Lyons! In partnership with the Museum of Wayne County History, Haunted History Ghost Walks, Inc., brings their popular ghost walk to Lyons in 2006. History, architecture, mystery, parapsychology, occultism, GHOSTS! Haunted History Ghost Walks, Inc., is a Buffalo, NY-based company founded by author Mason Winfield. Their tours of East Aurora, Buffalo, and Lewiston have become regional sensations, and for 2006, they are expanding to other historic upstate communities. Mason and his team of researchers have dug into the past of Lyons and compiled a 90-minute, mile-long tour of haunted village sites. Haunted History Ghost Walk tours are unique so far in the United States. Company founder Mason Winfield's approach brings out layers of meaning to architecture, history, prehistory, and even geology that most people never thought could be connected to supernatural reports. A good general scholar and the former English department chairman of an independent school, Mason is an original thinker whose approach fits localized psychic events into the bigger picture like no other researcher doing this work. Informative, entertaining, rich and multidisciplinary, Haunted History Ghost Walks are inspired by a broad and unbiased understanding of the field of the paranormal and brewed with good old-fashioned storytelling. Upstate journalists have relied for years on the research and experience of "supernatural historian" Mason Winfield, the author of four books. Mason's many TV and radio appearances include The Phantom Tour (a two-hour program on upstate haunts), NBC's Today Show, and the new program for 2006 Legend Hunters. We will kick off our 3rd season of Ghost Walks again this year during Peppermint Days July 12th & 13th, Joseph O'Toole and Erin Gardner will be conducting the tours this year.
